A part of the pipes made by Radice, are realized curing the raw bowls with oil. It is the the famous Oil-Curing.
This method, introduced more than a hundred years ago and actually used by several pipemakers, gives to the smoke a nut-like flavour during the break-in.

All the Oil-Cured pipes has a special TWIN-BORE mouthpiece. It is a mouthpiece which was created more than 30 years ago to satisfy the request of those smokers who had a delicate palate or who suffered from the tongue-bite. That first twin-bore mouthpiece offered relief to these troubles but had the problems of the cleaning! The two hole had an angle of 45 degrees and that didn't allow the pipe cleaner to pass all over the stem.

Luigi Radice studied a modify to that system, making a twin-bore mouthpiece with two parallel holes which connect mid-way down the mouthpiece. In this way the pipe smoker could easily clean the stem after smoking.
